  • About

In teaching children aged from 6 to 18, Richard has found his experience at the top end of theatre has helped him bring a different and challenging approach to his students’ previous experiences. His first priority is to establish secure ground rules for a group in order to create a safe, encouraging, fun and confidence building environment in which students feel secure enough to take a leap. Many of his older students, who take drama at GCSE and A level, voice their appreciation of his practical and performance related approach alongside the curriculum and theory based work they often get at school. Recent teaching experience has proved a long held belief that Drama can, not only be fun but build confidence, not just for performing but for life generally.

  • Acting

Richard has featured in several films, TV dramas, sit-coms, adverts and radio plays, but, most of his career has been spent in theatre from Fringe through Regional Repertory, Number 1 tours and big West End shows such as “Sunset Boulevard” and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”. The highlights being over 3 years working each with Alan Ayckbourn, Adrian Noble and Andrew Lloyd Webber respectively, at the National Theatre, RSC World Tour and the London Palladium.
